This 1966 Shelby Mustang GT350 was ordered in Sapphire Blue with optional 14″ alloy wheels and rear seats. The car underwent a bare-metal restoration between 2012 and 2015, which included disassembly, acid dipping, repainting the body, reupholstering the interior, and rebuilding its 289ci HiPo V8 engine. Additional work in 2021 included rebuilding the Holley carburetor, replacing the rear drum brakes with unused factory components, and installing an upgraded brake bias valve. The car has accrued 6k miles since its restoration, with total mileage unknown.

The car retains its factory-correct Sapphire Blue finish with white side stripes, a steel-framed hood with a scoop and pins, side scoops, and dual mirrors. It rides on optional 14″ 10-spoke alloy wheels fitted with 205/70 BFGoodrich tires.

The GT350 features factory Kelsey-Hayes front disc brakes, larger rear drums, and a revised suspension geometry with lowered front control arm pivots, heavy-duty springs, Koni shocks, override traction bars, and rear torque-control arms. The rear drums were replaced with unused factory components during the 2021 service.

The interior, ordered with optional rear seats, was reupholstered during the restoration. Features include competition belts, refurbished lap belts, and a dashboard dimmer replaced with a factory component in 2021. A GT-350-logo steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, an ammeter, and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. A Cobra-logo 9k-rpm tachometer is mounted atop the dashboard. The five-digit odometer, reset during the restoration, displays 6k miles.

The 289ci HiPo V8 features a cast-aluminum high-rise intake manifold, a four-barrel Holley carburetor, headers, a baffled aluminum oil pan, and cast-aluminum valve covers. Factory-rated output was 306 horsepower and 329 lb-ft of torque. The engine was rebuilt during the restoration, with additional work in 2021 including an overhaul of the carburetor, replacement of ignition components, and fluid changes.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Documentation includes a copy of the original invoice and service records.
